It all began in the Spring of 2005, when I thought it would be amusing to see hundreds of little Caesar-heads poking out of Lit books as we read Julius Caesar... It hasn't gone far from there, actually, but it shows promise. Oh yes, it shows promise. Here are the first few in a series of, well...who knows?

  Soundbytes like "Veni, vidi, vici" helped assure his place in history; now Caesar can help assure your place in whatever liber you're currently reading!   If you're up late pondering quaint and curious volumes of forgotten lore, it's easy enough to accidentally forget your page; even easier if you're weak and weary, to boot. Nevermore! He may be pining for his lost Lenore, but you won't lose your place with Poe's big head poking from the pages of your favorite tome.

• BigHead Shakespeare
  You never know what you'll be reading when a sudden qualm strikes your heart, and you can read no further. Though you may be emotionally distraught, you'll at least keep your place, with the Bard's big head marking the tear-stained page.
