I handed out books today, and you guys read the short story “The Colomber” and filled out a 3-level study guide.

Today, we did some exercises to get us thinking about using descriptive details in narrative writing. I also collected your rough drafts, to check up on them.

You had time to work on/finish up your “Disappointment” paper rough drafts today, and I reviewed them with a few of you.

The usual opening stuff today—we filled out a looooong questionnaire, and learned about class supplies.
